Former Chicago Blackhawk is on the move
Brandon Hagel played for the Tampa Bay Lightning for the past two seasons. He was traded for Boris Katchouk, Taylor Raddysh, and two 1st-round picks.
Hagel was included in the Blackhawks' rebuild, which Kyle Davidson blew up. However, he benefited from playing in Jon Cooper's system.
The Lightning might have to let go of the young winger, as they were searching for a replacement for Ondrej Palat, a hardworking player. However, Hagel quickly rose through the lines and became a well-rounded, high-scoring player.
Hagel could be a trade target for Doug Armstrong, and the Blues could benefit from his cheap contract.
Although he will receive a raise, he is not a UFA until 2026. It would be difficult to see him go to a rival, but we wish him the best in his future endeavors.
