Chicago Blackhawks won the NHL Draft Lottery on Monday, awarding them to pick generational talent Connor Bedard at No. 1 overall. As a result, the windy city of Chicago has gone on a shopping spree.

Since Monday night, just over 25 hours ago. The Chicago Blackhawks have sold an unbelievable $5.2 Million in season tickets.

Within the first hour on Monday, after landing first overall, the team sold $1.9 million in season tickets. This coming from Team President of Business Jaime Faulkner.

At this pace, a season ticket cap is very anticipated.

With Bedard's expected arrival, the Blackhawks will add a very strong piece, extremely early into their rebuild efforts. The hype in Chicago seems to be back for the Blackhawks, with the influx of fans wanting back into the building to watch their team compete.

Up next for the Chicago Blackhawks will be the NHL draft itself. The Hawks will have eight draft picks within the first three rounds alone. The draft will be held from June 28th through June 29th.
