Chicago Blackhawks Prospects Scores Game Winning Goal For His Country to Stay Alive
With the WJC well underway, we have been getting more and more highlights from Blackhawks prospects.
The latest highlight comes from Victor Stjernborg, who is a former 4th round pick from 2021.
Stjernborg was able to net the game-winner on a beautiful snipe that gave Team Sweden a 3-2 lead over Finland, which would hold on to be the final score.
The goal puts Sweden at 2-1-1 and in 3rd place of Group A. Czech Republic leads Group A with a 4-0-1 record, assuming they hold their 9-1 lead over the Swiss.
The US is leading Group B with a 3-1-0 record. They have a very friendly matchup against Germany at 3:00pm CT today.
Pool play wraps up today, and then we begin bracket play on Thursday, where each game is extremely crucial.
