Official statement by the NHL on Lukas Reichel in the midst of trade rumors

The NHL season fast approaches as media tours begin, for one Chicago Blackhawk, Lukas Reichel, in the midst of trade rumors, he's been working with the NHL during the European Media Tour.
Lukas Reichel was a 17th overall pick in the 2020 NHL Draft. Once thought to be a future Blackhawks star, he's failed to produce in a way that justified his selection. Since then, he's been jumping up and down between the AHL & NHL.
Despite all of the recent trade rumors, which we've seen multiple NHL teams reach out about Reichel, he was seen in Europe, promoting the NHL brand. In a recent media shoot, we saw him hoisting the Hellas Verona FC jersey, an Italian Football Club.

You could say this is a way for the NHL to further build relations with the sports community in Italy, a gesture of friendship.
For Reichel, this friendship between the NHL and Milano-Cortina may not be something he gets to experience unless he's named to the 2026 German Olympic team.
His status with the Blackhawks remains in the air as there's been no movement on the trade front with Reichel. Last season, he scored 22 points (8-14) in 70 games on the Blackhawks' fourth line, the majority of the season.
He found a friend and mentor in Pat Maroon, who has long since retired.
With Maroon taking up a coaching position in the USHL, what is next for Reichel?
Is he bound to be traded early in the season, and will he be considered for a job on Germany's Olympic roster?
