Brandon Saad gets emotional when talking about Chicago
Brandon Saad began his career with the Chicago Blackhawks, he captured two Stanley Cups with the Hawks but was unfortunately a victim of the cap strapped situation.
After spending two seasons with the Columbus Blue Jackets, Saad was dealt back to the Blackhawks in a trade for
Artemi Panarin. He played 3 more seasons in Chicago before being dealt to the Avalanche before the 2020-2021 season.
Saad has shared in the past the connection he still shares with the team and the city. Today during media availability he took the time to speak again to his love of the city and how much the franchise means to him.
"I've had a lot of success there, a lot of good memories, a lot of relationships, so it's definitely something I'll always hold special."
This past summer Saad signed a 5-year contract with the St. Louis Blues with an annual cap hit of $4,500,000 per season. It will be great to see Saad returning to the Mad House on Madison tonight.
