The most coveted piece for the Blackhawks seems to be Marc-Andre Fleury. The veteran net minder holds multiple Stanley Cups to his resume and even more Cup appearances. The Quebec native has shown that he is the beacon for consistency in the NHL and would help stabilize many team's goaltending situations.
It has already been reported that the Boston Bruins are in the market for Fleury, as well as the Washington Capitals. Now a new surprising team has jumped into the fray. According to Chris Johnston the Colorado Avalanche have emerged as a suitor for both the Flyers, Claude Giroux, and now Marc-Andre Fleury as well.
The Avalanche made a move for Darcy Kuemper in the off-season, but it does appear they're looking to find another improvement in goal as goaltending has been their issue in the playoffs for years now.
This situation continues to develop, but if Marc-Andre Fleury is a member of the Hawks on March 22nd, it's a failure by management to capitalize on an opportunity to acquire major assets.
