Well, two words.. Jake Oettinger, a 23 year old goaltender who took the NHL by shock, crushing playoff records set by legends such as Patrick Roy, Martin Brodeur and others.

Surprisingly enough the Dallas Stars and Jake Oettinger have yet to reach a agreement on a new contract, and are far from it..

flexible on the term he'd be willing to accept, but on the AV side "won't settle for something they deem to be unfair relative to the market that has already been set."

If Oettinger cannot get a contract he is happy with, why wouldn't he choose to sign elsewhere? Teams will also be allowed to offer sheet Oettinger, where he can then accept.
