The Boston Bruins have lost defenseman Hampus Lindholm because of an injury that he suffered on Thursday night at TD Garden against the Chicago Blackhawks.
After their 4-3 OT loss to the Boston Bruins on Thursday night, the Chicago Blackhawks are now 0-1-1 to start the new year before their home opener against the Montreal Canadiens on Saturday.
During the game, the Bruins lost defenseman Hampus Lindholm, which is a concerning thing considering that he missed the last 5.5 months of last year with an injury.
We just want to make sure you will be okay. I think, not just him, but any of our big guys, we just have to make sure we're going to be smart. We need him in the long run. It sounds like it's not too bad, but we'll see.
-Marco Sturm
The Bruins won after Fraser Minten scored the OT GWG, something Sturm said counts as a character win in front of their fans.
Those are the kind of wins you need to build something-what we want to build here. It's not always pretty, but the guys got the job done. It was not easy to play a game like that.
