General manager Kyle Davidson and the Chicago Blackhawks organization has decided to make sweeping changes in terms of players they have qualified for a contract.

Seven players in total were not qualified including Joey Anderson, Jaxson Stauber, Taylor Raddysh and Mackenzie Entwistle to name a few. This means that all these players will head to unrestricted free agency and can be picked up by anyone in the NHL.

Davidson continues to steer the organization towards a new era and a new crop of players and after the 2024 entry draft, he's shown that he has a certain style of player he's looking for and he's looking to add star talent to the team as July 1st approaches.

It's widely expected the team will be busy over the coming days as several prominent free agents remain on the board including Steven Stamkos, Sam Reinhart though he may be signed by Florida and Jonathan Marchessault.

Davidson needs to consider how much money he is willing to spend as he needs to balance between success today and making sure he has plenty of cap space for the future as their budding stars will begin to fill their roster.

It's going to be an interesting time for the Blackhawks and fans will need to sit back and wait and see what will come over the next couple of weeks.
