Kyle Davidson and the Chicago Blackhawks have once again opted for an off-ice development camp for prospects like Anton Frondell for the third year in a row, to much backlash from fans.

The Chicago Blackhawks fans have endured much this past season. An 8th-place finish in the Central Division, along with no progress in the team making it into winning territory.
The scrappy young team is bolstered by the veterans throughout the lineup, but with TJ Brodie being waived and Laurent Brossoit remaining out due to injury, the outlook isn't too positive for the team. As fans took to "X" in order to blast the team for another year of off-ice development camp.
As much as Kyle Davidson and the player development team love the unconventional, it seems the fans aren't sold on it.
The team lacks a coherent identity as a result of Anders Sorensen's lack of structure last year. Now, the backlash continues to boil over.
Fans are irate:
Given the fact that they've had to put up with the Comcast/Xfinity and CHSN drama to start the year, along with a Connor Bedard slump midseason, it's difficult not to relate to the palpable anger in these posts.
While the unconventional is looked down upon, sometimes a change is needed.
With the majority of free agency passed, and little to no meaningful action taking place in July for Kyle Davidson and the team, it's not difficult to see this is the result of anger cascading from multiple complaints and boiling over into one major stink for these fans.
Anton Frondell may not be able to win a Stanley Cup his first year in Chicago, but at least he can build one out of Legos.
