With Jeff Blashill in charge, he will want to shape the team to his liking.
For the
Blackhawks, that means a new look forward group, or one that is a mixture of old and new.
According to reports from NHL Insider Charlie Roumeliotis, Jeff Blashill could roll out a 1st-line of Connor Bedard, Tyler Berutzzi, and
Teuvo Teravainen.
This is in the hopes that Connor Bedard will be able to build on the chemistry we've seen with both Teravainen and Bertuzzi last season.
Bertuzzi & Bedard's Chemistry in 2024
With Bertuzzi, we could see him purely as a puckhound, getting in the dirty areas of the ice to retrieve the puck, and using his muscle to make a play for Bedard or Teravainen.
Bertuzzi should find himself especially comfortable on the same line as Bedard, considering that on the same line he scored 17 points on the top line in Chicago. It appears that Blashill may be keeping lines together if they work well.
In this instance, Bertuzzi and Bedard should pick up right where they left off this season.
While Bedard and Teravainen should be feeding off of each other's instincts to create skillful and exciting plays for the Blackhawks fans in 2025-26.
Connor Bedard ended the 2024-25 season with 67 points (23-44). Can he pass that in 2025?
