Quinn Hughes lands with the Chicago Blackhawks' divisional rival in latest prediction
A new report suggested that the Vancouver Canucks captain Quinn Hughes could end up joining the Chicago Blackhawks' division if he ends up getting traded.
Since the whole
Elias Pettersson-
J.T. Miller feud, the captain hasn't exactly offered soothing comments about his future with the Canucks.
This season, the team is once again struggling to find rhythm, currently sixth in the Pacific Division with an 8-8 record.
But players like Hughes can still find ways to perform despite not having the best overall team results.
In 12 games so far, the captain has scored nine points.
With his contract expiring after next season, Hughes will need to make a choice: he either commits to the Canucks or he doesn't.
If he doesn't, a lot of teams will show interest on the trade market. According to a new report, he could even end up in the Chicago Blackhawks' division.
Canucks Captain Quinn Hughes Linked To LA Kings In Trade Rumor
Although most would argue that the New Jersey Devils are the most likely destination for Quinn, other organizations will make their offers.
The Los Angeles Kings could be among those organizations.
The team hasn't won a single playoff round since they won the Stanley Cup in 2014, notably losing in four straight first rounds to the Edmonton Oilers.
But this year, the team looks ready to go all in, going as far as signing former franchise rival
Corey Perry to a contract.
If it doesn't happen this year, the Kings will be in an even better position to make a deal happen next season.
