Incredible POV Shows Connor Bedard Tie for the NHL Points Lead in Blackhawks vs. Red Wings
The Chicago Blackhawks were in Detroit on Sunday afternoon as they looked to extend their winning streak to three games without one of their top forwards.
In spite of the hole on the second line center spot, the Hawks were able to keep the momentum going,
beating the Wings 5 to 1, in yet another great performance from Connor Bedard.
The Hawks' first overall pick in 2023 tallied one goal and two assists, for his third straight multi-point game.
With that performance, he even tied Macklin Celebrini at the top of the NHL scorers' rankings.
Connor Bedard Ties Celebrini in Points With Another Impressive Performance
Connor Bedard is definitely living up to the expectations that come with being the first player to be selected in the NHL Draft.
After an intense summer of training, notably alongside Celebrini, Bedard is proving that he reached the next level of his development.
Today, after 16 games, Bedard has 25 points, including nine goals.

Tyler Bertuzzi's goal, he tied Celebrini, who has 24 points in the same number of games:

Bedard and Celebrini will be compared to each other their whole career. With the Olympics coming up, the rivalry could reach another level, as they'll both compete for a spot on Team Canada's roster. When the Hawks and the Sharks are true playoff contenders, it'll go even further.
The next game between the two teams will go down on February 2nd. Meanwhile, the race between Bedard and Celebrini will be very interesting to follow.
