"He's still a young kid, but he's got some experience in the league now, and he's probably understanding a little bit more about what to expect on a nightly basis-whether it's the defense he's playing against, the schedule, the travel, or, you know, maybe how to take care of his body throughout the year.
I mean, there were definitely some phases when I was younger where you feel like you hit a little bit of a wall, right? And it might last five, six, seven games, but you don't want to have that slump during the season. That hurts your production, it hurts your numbers, and it hurts the way you're helping the team.
I think we've all seen him play enough to know he has moments throughout the game where he has the puck and makes plays that make you think, Okay, not many guys can do that-whether it's a move, a pass, or the way he shoots the puck.
I think he's got a really bright future, and if I were a Blackhawks fan or someone in the organization, that would probably be the last of my worries. He's a great player, and it also seems like he cares a lot, that he wants to be good.
And that's half the battle as well."
