The Chicago Blackhawks could end the rebuild, if they were bold enough to pry Brady Tkachuk away from the Ottawa Senators and place him on the same line as Connor Bedard, would he leave Ottawa for Chicago?
While there was speculation earlier in the year about the Chicago Blackhawks acquiring Brady Tkachuk, nothing has materialized since.
The rumors surrounding Brady Tkachuk involved more than the Blackhawks, and the Rangers at one point were thought to be involved in acquiring the Senators' captain. The fallout would precipitate in the media, as owner Michael Andlauer and Steve Staios would take exception to the rumors.
With the Blackhawks, a player like Tkachuk would be a legitimate top-six winger who could give the Blackhawks leadership and a winning edge.

Last season in 79 games, he scored 55 points (29-26) and was one of the Senators' best players.
The Hawks would be belated to acquire someone like Tkachuk in trade. But it appears there's no chance of that happening, as Brady Tkachuk put an end to those rumors quickly.

While it's definitely a nice dream to entertain, for Blackhawks fans, they're going to have to wait for another top-six player to be available or the next player in the pipeline to develop.
Tkachuk could help give Bedard space on the ice to work on the top line while the team would immediately find itself higher in the ranks with his addition to the team.
But he remains committed to the Senators.
