The Chicago Blackhawks have officially announced two additional roster cuts which include two of their biggest prospects.

On Tuesday, the Chicago Blackhawks suffered their first preseason loss in their first game of the season by a score of 3-2 against the Detroit Red Wings.
Despite the NHL's top prospect pool rankings having Chicago slated at first overall in the entire league, they looked far from it.

Chicago Blackhawks make two roster cuts immediately after loss to Red Wings

"Per the Blackhawks broadcast Jack Pridham (Kitchener) and Marek Vanacker (Brantford) will be heading back to their junior clubs after tonight's preseason game in Detroit. Big seasons ahead for both in the OHL."

- Chris Peters, Flo Hockey
Both skaters are heavy goal-scoring forwards, but Pridham impressed more this past season, posting 27 goals and 27 assists in 48 games played which totals for 54 points.
