The Chicago Blackhawks are seeking to trade their most valuable assets on the trade block this offseason, and it's shocking.

The Blackhawks have been one of the NHL's basement teams for quite some time now, as they have continuously failed to reach 30 wins within each of their last five season.
And with just one playoff appearance within the last eight years, it seems as though Chicago is done being at the bottom of the NHL rankings, as new insight has unveiled the organization is willing to take a big swing towards Stanley Cup contention.

The Chicago Blackhawks are expected to make huge moves this offseason

The Blackhawks just recently acquired a third-overall pick during the 2025 NHL Entry Draft, and a new announcement has revealed that Chicago is willing to part with their recent selection.
According to a well-trusted NHL insider, Frank Seravalli on the Daily Faceoff Rundown, the Chicago Blackhawks are willing to move on from their first-round selection at the upcoming 2025 NHL Draft.
«Frank Seravalli: The Blackhawks' 3rd overall pick is in play; looking to trade for a difference-maker - DFO Rundown»
«I don't think they are going to be out spending crazy money,» Seravalli said. «But I do think that they want to be really active one the trade market and I do think that the No. 3 overall pick is in play.»

The Blackhawks will, needless to say, only be willing to sell such a high draft pick if they receive legit NHL talent in return, and Seravalli revealed Chicago wants a «real difference marker» in return.
«We're not going trade it to just get just a guy to plug in our lineup,» Servalli stated.
Although it is uncertain what the Chicago Blackhawks will do with the draft selection, it is safe to say the organization is in fact hungry for postseason contention, and willing to do what it takes to become competitors.
