According to recent reports, the Chicago Blackhawks and Kyle Davidson could be richly rewarded for acquiring Carey Price from the Montreal Canadiens.
The Chicago Blackhawks have a wealth of prospects in the NHL and a wealth of salary cap space.
Currently, they have $18 million in salary cap space and could find ways to utilize it effectively. They could do so by trading for the Montreal Canadiens' own Carey Price.

The Blackhawks would receive two first-round picks for subsuming the whole of Carey Price's final year in his contract.
The Montreal Canadiens could be a fresh start for both Lukas Reichel and Laurent Brossoit.
While the Habs would receive three second-round picks, they would send the Blackhawks more picks that could help usher in the final stages of the rebuild if they hit on another draft pick.
A pick that could turn out to be Gavin McKenna, if we're lucky.
While the Habs would bolster their goalie group with Stanley Cup winner, Laurent Brossiot, who missed the entire NHL season due to an injury, he'd be an upgrade from Kaapo Kahkonen and could stabilize the crease.
