Chicago Blackhawks reporter Mario Tirabassi has addressed the organization's potential hiring of recently fired head coach Mike Sullivan, who is now a free agent.

According to Tirabassi, Sullivan, the two-time Stanley Cup Champion is the ideal fit for the Chicago Blackhawks' youth movement moving forward and is the 'perfect' replacement for Anders Sorensen, who's the team's current interim head coach.
A golden opportunity now arises for the Blackhawks after head coach Mike Sullivan was fired on Monday following a very unexpected statement released online.
Multiple recent reports connected University of Denver's head coach David Carle to the Blackhawks, but according to Elliotte Friedman he is not interested in making the jump to the NHL and will return to the NCAA coaching scene next season.
David Carle being out of the picture and Sullivan now in the open market is a blessing in disguise for the Blackhawks, who are in dire need of an experienced coach to guide Connor Bedard's game to the top.
Sullivan's 12-year coaching career has guided stars such as Sidney Crosby, Evgeni Malkin, Kris Letang and others to season-high career numbers.
Blackhawks General manager Kyle Davidson's coaching search certainly just got a whole lot more interesting, and in the following weeks we should see a new bench boss named in the windy city.
Who would you like to see the Chicago Blackhawks announce as their newest bench boss?
