His last season in Chicago proved to be inconsistent, and he will look to bounce back in 2024.
Raddysh in 2022-2023, saw him score 37 points(20 G, 17 A) a career-high which some thought he'd never reach again. But at age 26, he still has some upside which the Capitals could find a way to spark, as this signing is a low-risk, high-reward deal for both sides.
His $1 Million AAV, for the ability to play on the power-play, penalty kill and a versatile winger, could make him a great depth scorer, and special teams player.
Spencer Carberry could give him some minutes on the 2nd power-play unit and find his game again as well.
One storyline Blackhawks and Capitals fans should look out for is Raddysh who is projected to be paired with Hendrix Lapierre, and Sonny Milano. Lapierre is a young NHL player, who has plenty of potential to be an impact on the ice. Sonny Milano has shown flashes of brilliance in the past but seems to have found a home in Washington for now.
This line could be a highly offensive and fun 3rd line to watch in the coming season.
It should be exciting to see if Raddysh can return to form after training camp.
