The former Chicago Blackhawks head coach Luke Richardson appears set to return to the NHL, according to insider Pierre LeBrun.

The Chicago Blackhawks fired Luke Richardson in December. The coach had a 57-118-15 record through his three seasons behind the bench, and at the time of his firing, the team was last in the NHL at 8-16-2.
After a few months away from the action, it appears that Richardson is looking to come back to the League with another organization.
Indeed, Pierre LeBrun revealed in a post on X that Richardson was considered for the Boston Bruins' head coaching job:
"On Bruins' coaching search, my understanding is final interviews will be conducted next week and then a decision to come after that.

Not sure who made the cut. Boston has talked to a lot of people. Marco Sturm, Jay Woodcroft, Mitch Love, Luke Richardson, Joe Sacco, Jay Leach among those believed to have interviewed..."
The Bruins haven't announced anything yet, but the latest rumors suggest Jay Leach and Marco Sturm are the top contenders.
Another report stated that Richardson expressed interest in working for the Seattle Kraken, but the organization hired Lane Lambert instead:
While Richardson may not end up getting the job with the Bruins, he seems determined to come back to the League. With many teams still looking to fill vacant assistant-coaching positions, this could be the next step for the former Hawks coach.
Prior to his time with the Blackhawks, Richardson worked as the Ottawa Senators' assistant coach between 2009 and 2012 before being named head coach of their former AHL team, the Binghamton Senators. In 2017, he joined the New York Islanders for a year and became the Montreal Canadiens' assistant coach for the next four seasons.
Even though his time in Chicago wasn't as successful as many would have hoped, he is still a great coach who has what it takes to win in the NHL. If he doesn't find a job this summer, it shouldn't be long before he gets another opportunity.
