Former Chicago Blackhawks forward Patrick Kane shares an unexpected message and it's emotional

Yesterday, Corey Crawford was informed by Mario Cecchini, new QMJHL commissioner, that Crawford was inducted into the QMJHL Hall of Fame. Crawford got on a call thinking he'd be interviewed about his time in the Q, however, it was to tell him about the news of the Hall of Fame.
An outpouring of congratulations was given to Corey, including former Blackhawks legend and Corey's former teammate,
Patrick Kane, as he congratulated him on X.
Congrats, Crow! Well Deserved
Crawford, a Montreal, Quebec product, played in the QMJHL with the Moncton Wildcats from the 2001 to 2004 seasons. The Wildcats made it to the finals in Crawford's last season with the team, but came up just short.
Crawford is a two-time Stanley Cup champion with the Chicago Blackhawks and is one of the best goalie's Chicago has ever seen. Crawford came in to replace Antti Niemi after his time was up with the Blackhawks, and he did not disappoint.
During a full season with the Hawks, Crawford's SV% didn't drop less than .900, and his GAA went over three only once. Corey was truly the total package and was so fun to watch in between the pipes.
In the year the Blackhawks won the Stanley Cup in 2013, Crawford had a 1.84 GAA and a .932 SV%. He was a brick wall and was a big part in the Cup coming back to Chicago for the second time in only four seasons.
Chicago would then lose in a heartbreaking fashion to the Los Angeles Kings in the 2014 Western Conference Finals, but would come back in 2015 to beat the Tampa Bay Lightning and win their third Cup in only six seasons. Crawford was probably the most important piece of those two Stanley Cup winning runs.
Unfortunately, Crawford never won the Vezina Trophy, but he did come in the top 10 in voting three times.
Patrick Kane was his teammate for Crawford's whole tenure on the Hawks, and Kane even had that famous 2010 goal against the Philadelphia Flyers. Kane also sealed the deal in the 2015 series against the Lightning when he scored and made it 2-0. Kane is a legend and is definitely getting his jersey hung in the rafters of the United Center. If there's anyone who knows how important Crawford was to the Cup winning teams, it's Kane.
Corey Crawford is a legend, and deserves to be celebrated. Maybe he'll even get his jersey retired by the Blackhawks, who knows.
