Connor McDavid to the Chicago Blackhawks: NHL insider confirms major news

We've heard tall tales before, but according to one NHL Insider, Connor McDavid could end up wearing a Chicago Blackhawks uniform in the future.
According to NHL Insider Pierre LeBrun, the Chicago Blackhawks could end up being a landing spot for superstar
Connor McDavid.
Of course, this sounds too good to be true in the greater scheme of things. But LeBrun would reference the fact that the Blackhawks are building something special in the Windy City, of course, all credit to GM Kyle Davidson.
With the addition of Head Coach Jeff Blashill, assistant Michael Peca, and Anders Sorensen, they're poised to take the next step.
But what would help them more? Adding another NHL superstar who could be the "it" factor next to
Connor Bedard.
Pierre LeBrun went as far as to say that the Blackhawks could be the team that lands
Connor McDavid next.
Following another unceremonious exit against the Panthers in the Stanley Cup finals, McDavid could look for an exit next season and would have no end to the suitors lining up for him:
Teams like the Los Angeles Kings, with former Oilers GM Ken Holland, are keeping a close eye. If and when McDavid ever leaves, it's a short list of markets that I believe would be a fit for him: L.A., the New York Rangers, the Chicago Blackhawks, the Dallas Stars, etc. It would not be a free-for-all, with 25 teams getting a chance at it.
Sometimes truth is stranger than fiction. This scenario is arguably a case of a rebuilding team having all of the assets it'd need to acquire someone like McDavid. The question remains if he would seek to exit a Stanley Cup-contending team like the Edmonton Oilers, to a young, albeit talented roster that hasn't even begun to gel in the NHL?
While looking back at the Kings and Oilers trade for Gretzky in the 80s, we have to think, the Blackhawks have won Stanley Cups before.
Davidson could very well sell his vision of a team whose not done growing yet, with McDavid leading the charge to the Finals when the time is right.
The Blackhawks are one of the largest markets in the NHL and could find themselves in a similar situation as the Hawks teams of the 2010s and 2015s should they land someone like McDavid in the future.
