Connor McDavid's potential arrival to the Chicago Blackhawks was addressed in a new report: "He would lead the youth beside Bedard."

The Edmonton Oilers captain, Connor McDavid, is set to become a free agent at the end of the 2025-26 season. Many questions about his future remain, but as he mentioned on multiple occasions in interviews, at this point, he will consider all options, including leaving the Oilers.
There's a general belief that McDavid's future with the Oilers will depend on how the season unfolds, but rumors about his departure won't cease until an extension is announced.
Many teams have no chance at all to get him, but for a team like the Chicago Blackhawks, who are in the middle of a rebuild but already have Connor Bedard in place, it's interesting to imagine the possibility.

The Athletic Reveals Potential Pitch From The Blackhawks To Sign Connor McDavid

Scott Powers, The Athletic's writer covering the Chicago Blackhawks, explained how McDavid could change the course of the franchise if he were to join the team.
He stated that although a fit is hard to see, seeing McDavid with Bedard would be incredible, and he could play an important role with all the younger players.
Here's what he wrote:
"It's hard to see the Blackhawks as real players for McDavid, but if that were somehow the case, their pitch would be all about the future and the opportunity to return a major hockey market to Cup contenders. The Blackhawks have made 11 first-round picks in the last four years, and a number of those players are starting to arrive in the NHL. McDavid would be surrounded by young talent, most notably Connor Bedard, for the rest of his career. That would allow McDavid to lead that youth and later be supported by it."

McDavid should become the highest-paid player in the NHL, even after Kirill Kaprizov's record-breaking $17M AAV deal.
