Chicago Blackhawks steal and sign 6-foot-4 enforcer defenseman from the Tampa Bay Lightning
The Chicago Blackhawks organization has announced the signing of a 6-foot-3 former team captain and enforcer to a one-year contract today.
Just under 40 days remain until the Blackhawks will kick off their spring training camp in preparation
opening night and it appears that general manager Kyle Davidson is not fully satisfied with his current roster.
In a literal 'huge'
signing announcement that adds grit and leadership to the organization, the Blackhawks have inked towering defenseman
Tyson Feist to a one-year deal.
Feist, 24, stands at 6-foot-3 and weighs in a 207lbs, his size helps replicate his last name by being a 'fiesty' player on the ice.
This past season with the Tampa Bay Lightning organization, Feist played in 63 games between the ECHL and AHL, recording 88 PIMs (penalty minutes).
Right-handed defenseman are very hard to come by and usually get snagged on the open market quite quickly, this is a big win for general manager
Kyle Davidson.
In the 2021-22 season Feist donned the 'C' on his chest for the Kelowna Rockets of the WHL, while posting a career-high 39-point season.
Oddly enough, Feist's head coach at the time of his WHL season was in fact the current assistant coach of the Rockford IceHogs, Josh MacNevin.
With ties already connected to the organization, we welcome you with warm arms!
