Blackhawks Kyle Davidson reveals a head coaching change in Chicago
The Chicago Blackhawks continue to go down a struggling path with their coaching staff and recent reports suggest that the Blackhawks' head coach, Anders Sorensen's days are nearing an end.
Just this year,
The Blackhawks fired Luke Richardson, their previous head coach, and brought in a fresh face from the AHL affiliate, Anders Sorensen, and now it seems as though the organization is seeking another replacement.
With just a few month of Sorensen's arrival to Chicago, it seems as though this head coach's days behind this team's bench may be numbered as the team is in dire need to have a seasoned leader, unlike a resume that boasts AHL experience with a lack of NHL depth.
Despite Blackhawks' playoff hopes gradually fading, Kyle Davidson, the team's general manager, is hunting for a mature NHL coach who can offer the franchise a complete turn-around.
In hopes for this new face to offer young key-players the opportunity to unlock their potential and revive Chicago's postseason dreams, such as
Connor Bedard, Davidson seems as though he is willing to take the risk.
The Chicago Blackhawks New Hub revealed Davidson's perspective in a recent social media post.
Davidson reveals his next move will be finding a permanent coach: «It's a huge decision,» he said. «We're thinking about how that profile looks and what the team will look like and what they'll need in a coach.»
As the team continues to sit at the bottom of the standings, with no improvement proving any escape, the Blackhawks are likely to be out of playoff contention, for yet another season.
These circumstances are frustrating for a team with such a storied past, and GM Kyle Davidson knows it, as he suggests awareness of the organization's need to offer these professional players a professional leader.
As Sorensen's inexperience continues to be evident, and the team's playoff hopes evaporating, this organization seems as though they're willing to take the jump to offer these professionals what they deserve.
