Chicago Blackhawks hit with major loss as two key players suffer injuries against Blues
The Chicago Blackhawks lost to the St. Louis Blues last night 4-1, and have suffered residual losses that will sting afterward as Jason Dickinson left the game and didn't return.
The Chicago Blackhawks arrived in the Enterprise Center with hopes of securing one more victory against their long-term rivals, the Blues.
Instead they'd lost the game 4-1, with only
Ilya Mikheyev scoring a goal that night.
And veteran Jason Dickinson would step in and make Neighbours answer the bell, since the referees were incapable of policing the ice that night.
Now, the team is out Jason Dickinson and left the game logging only 3:55 of ice time and six shifts.
Dickinson has returned to being a defensive forward in the Blackhawks organization and has been a reliable forward his entire time served here.
Now, the Blackhawks' injury list is piling up similar to the 2023-2024 season where multiple players were out on injury, and this would lead to the team tapping into Rockford.
Dickinson has posted 16 points (7 G, 9 A) in 59 games played for the Blackhawks this season.
He wasn't seen taking line rushes in warmups today according to The Athletic's Scott Powers as Joe Veleno has slotted into his position on the third line.
His injury remains unreported and will not be available for the team's game against the Philadelphia Flyers today.
The Blackhawks remain 8th in the Central Division with a record of 20-42-9.
