Blackhawks team physician delivers crucial season-ending injury news on 21-year old forward

In the midst of a rocky season in the Chicago Blackhawks organization, more dwelling news rains down as a crucial injury update on a 20-year old forward has been delivered by the medical team physician.

Prospect Pool Rankings have the Blackhawks sitting ranked at #4, and the pipeline would not have such high expectations without depth players in development with the AHL Rockford IceHogs.
One of the key depth players that's set to shape the future of the Blackhawks is Swiss-standout Marcel Marcel, who was a steal for the organization at 131 overall in the 2023 NHL entry draft.
Unfortunately for the 21-year old forward, his season has been altered by minor injuries, and now a major one that will end his season.
Team Physician Dr. Geoff Van Thiel released the following
update:IceHogs forward Marcel Marcel is expected to miss 2-3 weeks with a left shoulder injury.
As the IceHogs are in the middle of a tight-knitted playoff push, they are now dealt another setback of a loss in prospect Marcel Marcel.
After a 32-point season in the QMJHL with the Gatineau Olympiques the 6-foot-4 forward was quickly deemed ready to sign his first pro contract.
Since, he has been dealt bad luck in the injury department. We wish him a speedy recovery from his recent injury.
The IceHogs will face the Griffins on Friday, April 4 at 6:00 p.m CT in their next game.
