The Chicago Blackhawks didn't make any major moves during the trade deadline, but we should expect them to in July as three players could be moved.

The Chicago Blackhawks didn't make many major moves during the trade deadline, as they moved out Seth Jones before the 7th.
They would instead send Craig Smith and Petr Mrazek to Detroit while swapping depth options with the Utah HC.
Those moves could end up paying dividends in the future if Aku Raty or Victor Soderstrom make their way up the depth charts.
Until then, like the Blackhawks are thinking we have to think long-term when it comes to their next moves.
Ryan Donato and Pat Maroon were other veterans who were thought to be moved at the deadline but have stuck around instead.
Could the Blackhawks move on from three players in July, when the season is done and over with?
Could the Chicago Blackhawks find a new home for defenseman Connor Murphy? he plays well when he is healthy, however, he is consistently injured and finds himself out for lengths of time when the team needs him the most. At $4.4 million the team could trade him away and use the money to find more offensive weapons.
He was once acquired from the Arizona Coyotes in order to get young at one point and fulfill a role like Niklas Hjalmarsson, but he failed to live up to expectations.
Could he find a new home as a top-four defender on a contending NHL team?
It's no secret that the Blackhawks are loaded deep on the blue line, with a prospect pipeline that consists of Ethan Del Mastro, Artyom Levshunov, Wyatt Kaiser, Louis Crevier, and Alex Vlasic. It's unrealistic to think all of these players can occupy top roles in the Blackhawks lineup all at once.
Kevin Korchinski is still getting experience in the AHL and with players like Sam Rinzel turning pro soon, Korchinski could find himself on a different team given how attractive his offensive upside is.
He's already seen major time in the NHL, and as a first-round pick could find some suitors in the NHL, as he could contribute to the rush, despite needing to brush up on the defensive side of his game.
The Chicago Blackhawks should've traded Jason Dickinson when his trade value was the highest after his 20+ goal season in 2023-2024.
Now he's found himself back in a bottom-six defensive forward spot. While it makes sense to keep some veterans in the organization to shelter younger players in the lineup and help them grow, GM Kyle Davidson could've capitalized on his career year and gotten his $4.25 million contract off of the books.
Teams may not see him post 20+ goals again next season, but he provides a reliable bottom-six center presence in the lineup.
While none of these players were mentioned during the trade talks heading into March 7th, these players could yield a decent return for a Blackhawks team who are attempting to move forward in the rebuild.
