Chicago Blackhawks key-forward, Connor Bedard, reveals insight regarding his 10-minute misconduct of abuse of officials during post-game interviews.

On Thursday March 13, the Chicago Blackhawks took an unfortunate 4-2 loss against the San Jose Sharks at the SAP Center, which many have revealed to be an unfair finish as the Hawks' star forward was given a questionable 10-minute misconduct.
In the last period, with just 10 minutes and 50-seconds left, with a score of 3-2, Connor Bedard received a '10-minute misconduct of abuse of officials'. Leading to an open net goal achieved by the Sharks, that has now left the Blackhawks with a two-game losing streak.

However, many were left unsure or frustrated by the referee's call on Bedard's penalty.
Despite this unfortunate event, Connor Bedard had a post-game interview with reporters and revealed more insight regarding this confusing penalty.

The 19-year old was also seemingly stunned by this call as he began to scoff during his interview, creating some uncertainty of whether or not this ref was just having a bad day and took it out on the opposing team.
Needless to say, as the CHGO Blackhawks revealed in the podcast above, all precautions should be taken when speaking to specific referees until the player has built a relationship with said ref.
Quite silly if I may, however, considering Connor Bedard's outcome, he may need to begin building more relationships with certain referees.
