It appears that the Utah Hockey Club, who play in the Delta Center and is owned by Ryan Smith, had some bad operational security today, as they leaked the new team name online, but it was quickly retracted.

The Utah Hockey Club began its journey in the Delta Center this season after transitioning from Arizona. Now, it appears they could shed their "hockey club" moniker soon.
The team updated their name on YouTube only so quickly to retract it, despite a report by Denis Dodd from CBS giving us no official timeline for the name change.

The Utah Hockey Club is intent on competing for a Stanley Cup sooner rather than later. And are coming out of their rebuild, with the additions of Mikhail Sergachev, Kailer Yamamoto, and Alex Kerfoot in 2024.
Since Dodd's announcement, many have scrambled in order to find the "official" name of the Hockey club in a frenzied effort to crack the "code". No decoder ring available for trademarked names, though!
Basketball John, who covers the Utah Jazz on the website "SLC Dunk," threw his hat into the mix, and uncovered that the Utah HC, who gave fans an option to vote on the next name for the HC only one of them has received a trade extension.
Only the "Mammoth" seems to have won out.
Fans had a choice between the Outlaws, the HC, and the Mammoth.
Which seems to suggest that the Utah Hockey Club's new trademarked name will indeed be "Mammoth".
