Rumors have been circulating many weeks prior to this years NHL draft involving 37-year old Sidney Crosby and his future with the Pittsburgh Penguins, leaving the entire NHL on notice.
The rumors surround a trade of Crosby, and the talks picked up steam after the Penguins organization made the crucial decision to part ways with Evgeni Malkin after his contract expires at the end of the 2025-26 season.
Former NHL enforcer Georges Laraque stirred the pot up with this post at the NHL draft:
"I'm hearing there's a very good chance that Crosby will play somewhere else"
The message shared from Crosby and his agent is quite clear, he will not be in search of a trade out of Pittsburgh and will stay loyal to the black and gold.
