Hockey world mourns tragic loss of longtime fans at the age of 21 and 23 after fatal crash
Tragic news has surfaced out of New Jersey as two fans left the Devils game at the Prudential Center resulting in a senseless act by teenage drivers that took the couple's lives.
Evan Fiore and Kiley Armstrong were known amongst the
New Jersey Devils community, as committed fans to the team.
They also had a devotion to one another, which adds another tragic facet to this story as the couple lost their lives on the way home from a
Devils game at the Prudential Center.
Their lives were ended too soon, by irresponsible and careless teenagers speeding, on March 7th.
The group of teens in question was driving unlicensed in a car that collided with Evan & Kiley who were sitting at a red light. The vehicle was going 110 MPH.
The back seat passengers were Krista, twin sister of Kiley, and Ryan her boyfriend were fortunate to survive
Both families would issue a statement for the show of support from the local community.
A Community Is Stronger Together
The Chapman, Fiore, and Armstrong families would appreciate your generosity during these difficult times as they have set up a GoFundMe.
The funds will be used to help with the payment of Evan and Kiley's funeral and memorial services while taking care of Ryan and Krista's medical expenses.
This accident, along with others we've seen this summer goes to show that irresponsible acts can have far-reaching and unintended consequences. If the driver of the car had thought before acting, innocent lives would have not been lost, and families would not have had to bury their children.
We send our condolences to the Fiore, Chapman, and Armstrong families during their trying times.
Rest in Peace, Evan and Kiley
