The Edmonton and Panthers finished their Stanley Cup Finals series Tuesday night, which ended in just six games. While the hot topic trending is Florida's celebration with the cup, an Oilers decision to not shake the hands of his opponents in the handshake line is stealing headlines.
The game was far gone with the clock ticking down in the third period and the Panthers having a huge lead, which led to the on ice officials having their heads on a swivel.
In which they caught Edmonton's pest-like forward
Evander Kane delivering a slash to Tkachuk.
The two had ongoing battles for the entire series, even dating back to years ago when Tkachuk was with the Calgary Flames.
Kane quickly received a 10-minute misconduct for his actions and was ejected from the game with just a few minutes remaining on the clock.
In a move that is causing backlash to be sent Kane's way for unsportsmanlike, he refused to return to the ice to shake his opponents hand after the game was over.
Despite his 10-minute misconduct that led to an ejection, players and coaches are still able to participate in the handshake line.
