Connor McDavid delivers bold remark during press conference
Reporter: What was the difference in this series?
McDavid: Their forecheck was excellent, they tipped the ice their way.
They were able to dominate us everywhere.
We never really managed to get any momentum up the ice.
We kept repeating the same thing over and over again, banging our heads against the walls.
We kept saying we wanted to win 2-1.
We never found a way, obviously...
He didn't mince his words whatsoever, even dropping a few F-bombs during the press conference.
The coaching difference between Paul Maurice of the Florida Panthers and Kris Knoblauch of the Edmonton Oilers was quite noticeable; the forecheck could not be contained, and their puck possession time proved it.
McDavid's words also reflected his coaches strategy, take a look:
"We kept ******* trying the same thing over and over again, just banging our heads against the wall"

With this call out, we could ultimately see the coaching staff in Edmonton receive some changes this offseason.
