Blackhawks star rookie Connor Bedard is making big waves in the NHL, leading all rookies with 21 goals and 58 points despite missing some games due to injury. But when he's not on the ice himself, Bedard keeps a close eye on the league's top scorers.

Currently, the race for the Art Ross Trophy, awarded to the NHL's leading scorer, is heating up between Nikita Kucherov of the Tampa Bay Lightning, Nathan MacKinnon of the Colorado Avalanche, and Connor McDavid of the Edmonton Oilers. With just a few games left in the season, the competition is tight.

"It's pretty wild," Bedard commented on the race. "They're just as close in skills. Basically any year they're winning the MVP. It's unbelievable what they're doing."

When asked about his favorite for the trophy, Bedard remained on all sides.

"I don't know. I don't want to say. It's a tough one either way," he said. "I think any guy has a pretty good shot. Whoever gets hot here at the end."

Bedard also shared his admiration for MacKinnon's explosive skating and McDavid's speed, real recognizes real!
