Toews lands on top available UFA list
On April 13th, 2023, Jonathan Toews bid farewell to his days as a Chicago Blackhawk. As a long-time Captain of the team, his departure left a void that the United Center faithful will miss dearly.
Following Toews' departure, Kyle Davidson took a no-holds-barred approach to rebuilding the team, trading away everyone, including Max Domi.

However, despite not being offered a contract by the new Blackhawks GM, Toews remains determined to carry on.
Toews has earned a spot on the list of the Top 50 NHL upcoming unrestricted free agents, and his experience and skills would make him a valuable addition to any team.
While he may need to adjust his expectations, he still has the potential to make a difference on the offensive end, despite some defensive shortcomings.
