The NHL plans to raise the Salary Cap, having it be 92 million in 3 seasons, an 11 and a half million-dollar increase.
This year it is 82.5 million. A few teams are over the cap, a couple to name are Vegas and Tampa Bay. There is only a 1 million dollar increase for next year, raising to 83.5 million.
In the 2024-2025 season, the Cap will be between 87.5 million and 88 million dollars. A 4-4.5-million-dollar increase from the 2023-2024 season, and a 5 and a half million dollar increase from this season. In the 2025-2026 season, it will be a whopping 92 million dollars, which will help a lot of teams with the cap.
With the Salary cap increasing, and players knowing about it, there may be a higher demand for more money from the players.
