The Chicago Blackhawks have issued a statement, and the organization is mourning after the sudden loss of longtime NHL goaltender Greg Millen.

A 14-year tenured netminder within the NHL spent his days with the Detroit Red Wings, St. Louis Blues, Quebec Nordiques, Pittsburgh Penguins, Hartforld Whalers and also the Chicago Blackhawks, where he suited up as a backup for two years (1989-91).
Following a saddened announcement from the NHL alumni, he has passed away at the age of 67.
Following Millen's retirement from the NHL, he began doing commentary for the Ottawa Senators, Hockey Night in Canada, and Sportsnet. He shared the booth with other icons such as Don Cherry, Ron MacLean, Bob Cole, Harry Neale, and Jimmy Hughson.
Millen's success in the NHL was quite historic, but his voice in the booth reached the Stanley Cup Finals twelve times, twelve NHL All-Star Games, three Olympic Games, and two World Cup of Hockey's.
The Chicago Blackhawks took to social media on Tuesday to share their very own condolences.
We are deeply saddened to learn of the passing of former Blackhawks goaltender Greg Millen. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Greg's family, friends and all hockey fans who enjoyed his call.
Millen leaves behind four children and his wife.
Us at Hawksinsider would like to send our condolences to everyone affected by the loss of Greg.
Rest in Peace, Greg Millen.
