Connor Bedard is only a sophomore but has made history once again, confirmed by the Chicago Blackhawks in a recent announcement made amidst wild trade rumors.

The former #1 overall pick made history on Sunday night when the Chicago Blackhawks played the Pittsburgh Penguins.
Bedard tallied his 60th point of the season to become the 11th teenager in NHL history to have multiple 60-point seasons, joining a list of Patrik Laine, Patrick Kane, and Wayne Gretzky.
It also happened the same time Sam Rinzel got his first NHL point.
The back end is set up perfectly for the future with the likes of Rinzel, Spencer Knight, Artyom Levshunov, Alex Vlasic, Kevin Korchinski, and even more.
However, Bedard has no help up front, aside from a couple of supporting cast members.
Bedard completes this major accomplishment during wild trade rumors surrounding the phenom, with many questioning his future with the Blackhawks.
The Blackhawks need to draft a high-end forward if they don't get the first overall pick.
If they get the first selection, then you can make an argument for Matthew Schaefer.
The free agency class is stacked as well, with the likes of Mitch Marner and Nick Ehlers hitting the market, which could really boost the forward core.
Plus, the Blackhawks have some prospect help on the way, with Sacha Boisvert tearing through the NCAA with North Dakota.
But, as Connor is turning 20 and is going into the last year of his ELC, he's going to need some sort of help next season.
It'd help if the Blackhawks got an actual NHL-caliber coach, too, instead of hiring and firing coaches like nobody's business.
Bedard has 20 goals on the year and had 22 the season before. Hopefully, in these last five games, he can tie that total from last year and maybe even pass it. Either way, Bedard slumped throughout the season and is still going to finish with 60+ points on the year.
The one thing Bedard's got to work on over the off-season is his speed.
