The Chicago Blackhawks are the clear winner in the Kirby Dach trade, who has been consistently injured in Montreal, while the 13th overall pick received in the deal became Frank Nazar.

The Chicago Blackhawks traded Kirby Dach to the Montreal Canadiens three years ago.
On July 7th, 2022, the Blackhawks acquired the 13th overall pick and a 2nd-round pick in the 2022 NHL Draft.
While GM Kent Hughes thought he'd be getting a 2C to lineup behind Nick Suzuki, it hasn't gone as planned, as Dach has been consistently injured.
Last season, he played only 57 games last season, and would be taken out of the lineup, due to an MCL/ACL injury which he's still recovering from.

Dach suffers another injury: Missing from Brossard and from important moments

Dach would only score 22 points (10-12) for the Canadiens, and unlike his teammates, who gathered for a teammate's wedding, he'd be missing from the captain-led practices in Brossard.
"Now, I learned yesterday that Kirby Dach is spending the summer in Edmonton with Kaiden Guhle - Dach is from Saskatchewan and Guhle is from Alberta - and that Dach is still in rehab.

I repeat: five months after his most recent knee surgery and about 40 days before the start of training camp, Kirby Dach is still not recovered and ready to play."

Frank Nazar, a 13th OA pick in 2022, would ascend to the Blackhawks' regular lineup last season. He'd play 53 games and score 26 points (12-24).
That kind of news would be difficult to process if I were GM Kent Hughes of the Canadiens.
Hughes gave up significant draft capital to acquire Dach, and he has disappointed every season since he's arrived.
His highest career totals came in 2022-23, scoring 38 points (14-24) for the Canadiens, and his production and health would decline soon after.
Could we be seeing the death knell of an NHL career in progression?
Dach was originally selected 3rd overall in 2019 and has yet to live up to that draft class.
