Ex-Blackhawks forward Patrick Kane, who once again re-signed with the former divisional foe Red Wings, has completed a major real estate move in Chicago.

Former Chicago Blackhawks forward Patrick Kane, one of the best players in team history who helped the club win 3 Stanley Cups, decided to stay with the former divisional foe Detroit Red Wings.
Additionally, he's also sold one of the multiple expensive properties that he owns in Chicago, likely crossing off any hope for a return that was speculated.
Per the Chicago Tribune, while Kane sold one property in Chicago, he purchased a new beautiful one in Detroit.
Former Chicago Blackhawks great Patrick Kane, who now skates for the Detroit Red Wings, in late June sold his four-bedroom, 4,776-square-foot condominium on the 25th floor of the luxury Near North Side tower at 9 W. Walton St. in an off-market transaction for $6.4 million.

He also reportedly paid $5 million in 2022 for a five-bedroom, 5,932-square-foot Greek Revival-style house close to Lake Michigan in Lake Forest.

In late March, Kane sold a three-bedroom, 3,102-square-foot unit on the 69th floor of the Trump building (in Chicago) for $2.11 million.

Patrick Kane will have his sweater No. 88 retired by the Blackhwks

Even though Kane now plays for the Red Wings, with whom he might retire, he'll always be a Blackhawks legend.
Whenever his playing career ends, his famous sweater No. 88 will hang in the rafters of the United Center and will likely be next to his former teammate Jonathan Toews, who is back in the NHL and has signed with the Winnipeg Jets.
Don't be surprised to see if multiple former Blackhawks soon start to have their sweater numbers retired, including Corey Crawford, Patrick Sharp, and Duncan Keith.
