The Chicago Blackhawks organization announced three new signings on Monday, adding more pieces to their pipeline with a pair of intriguing forwards and a local goalie.

Over in Rockford, IceHogs General Manager Mark Bernard confirmed that the team has signed forwards Harrison Israels and Jamie Engelbert, along with goaltender Owen Flores, to one-year AHL contracts.
IceHogs GM Mark Bernard and head coach Jared Nightingale provided official comments in a press release:
"I'm very excited about the signing of Harrison. He's a big center that plays a 200 foot game and has great hands around the net. It will be great to see how his game transitions into pro hockey." - Bernard

"We are excited to have Jamie in Rockford after a great rookie season. He brings an element to our roster that will represent how we want to play.

He's a great worker and hard to play against, high in character and hungry to improve. Jamie has a high ceiling and we look forward to helping him continue to grow his game." - Nightingale
Harrison Israels, a 25-year-old from Mississauga, ON, is coming off a solid NCAA career that saw him play 130 games between the University of Alaska-Fairbanks and Nebraska-Omaha. Known for his leadership, he was the camptain of the Nanooks for two seasons and wore an "A" with the Mavericks, finishing his college run with a career-best 20 goals.
Last spring, he got his first taste of pro hockey with the Florida Everblades in the ECHL, picking up three points in seven games.
Jamie Engelbert also joins Rockford on a one-year deal after an eventful rookie season that saw him suit up for three teams across two leagues.
The 6'4 forward started with the Bloomington Bison in the ECHL, before being traded to the South Carolina Stingrays where he really found his game, racking up 31 points, including 17 goals, in 38 games under new IceHogs head coach Jared Nightingale.
Engelbert's hard work earned him a late-season call-up to the Manitoba Moose in the AHL.
Finally, Owen Flores has signed his first professional contract, adding a hometown story to the mix.
The 21-year-old goaltender spent the past four seasons in the OHL, splitting time between Niagara and London, where he appeared in 155 games. Flores earned invites to NHL development camps with Detroit and Pittsburgh, and even took part in Nashville's main camp last fall.
Now officially turning pro, the Chicago native will look to take the next step in Rockford's crease, giving the Blackhawks organization another young goalie to watch closely.
