The Chicago Blackhawks are nearing the finale of the NHL's regular season and it has already been unfortunately announced the organization will be absent from any postseason contention for yet another year. However, the organization is aware that they need help and have eyes set on the biggest's names of this year's free agency.
Needless to say, Chicago's re-build has been on-going and has sadly taken a turn for the worst. Even with their key-forward, Connor Bedard, enduring his best season thus far into his career, the team still can't seem to get out of the trenches.
However, there has been major speculation towards possible candidates being acquired by the Blackhawks organization this summer, and there is one specific name that has been thrown around plenty.

Recently, an NHL insider, Mark Lazerus, announced the Blackhawks' intentions to acquire one of the Toronto Maple Leafs' top-contenders, Mitch Marner, claiming the organization is willing to cough up a lot of money towards this superstar.

«there's certainly no guarantee Mitch Marner wants to come to Chicago regardless of how much money [Blackhawks GM Kyle] Davidson throws at him (and he will throw a lot of it at him).»
Although the Maple Leafs may be inclined to tie this key-forward in another contract, there is no indication this 9-year NHL veteran wouldn't be open-minded to sign a new deal with an opposing team if the price is right.
It has also been suggested the Blackhawks organization is going in head first to acquire this player, so the likelihood of his presents in Chicago is higher than most anticipate.
However, there is no guarantee Chicago will see Marner in their roster following this year's free agency, but we can hope the team does everything in their power to make sure this forward can participate in their re-build.
