Chicago Blackhawks forward Connor Bedard is going into his 3rd year in the NHL, and he's clearly bulked up with some healthy muscle mass, recent photos reveal.
Connor Bedard is set to enter his 3rd year in the NHL with the Chicago Blackhawks after being taken with the 1st overall pick in the 2023 NHL Entry Draft, and he's sporting a new look that should have fans excited about what he can do for them.
Bedard was recently seen after a training session looking more bulked up:
This should bode well for the Blackhawks this year, knowing that Bedard has made himself tougher and harder to play against.
The Blackhawks haven't made the playoffs with Connor Bedard yet
The Blackhawks have unfortunately finished near the bottom of the standings in each of Bedard's first 2 years in the NHL, and it admittedly weighed heavily on his mind.
Yeah, it's hard. It sucks. You never want to lose. The amount we've done it so far is obviously frustrating, and you can ask anyone in the room. But I think you try to stay positive and try to win the next game. It's always on your mind, and you want to fix it.
The Blackhawks will be rolling with the tandem of Spencer Knight and Arvid Soderblom, the 1st of whom was acquired from the Florida Panthers as part of the Seth Jones trade.
They also acquired Andre Burakovsky from the Seattle Kraken for Joe Veleno, who had a brief stint with the Blackhawks after being acquired from the former divisional foe Detroit Red Wings in the Petr Mrazek trade.
The Blackhawks likely won't realistically challenge for a playoff spot quite yet, but they should be able to put together a higher point total than last year.
