NHL Department of Player Safety Announces Discipline's Incoming for Tampa Bay Lightning forward Brandon Hagel

Former Chicago Blackhawks forward Brandon Hagel has been given a hearing with the NHL's Department of Player Safety after a controversial hit on Florida Panthers captain Aleksander Barkov.
Former Blackhawks forward Brandon Hagel and his Tampa Bay Lightning are in trouble down 2-0 in a best of seven series against the 2024 Stanley Cup-winning Florida Panthers, and there has just been another predicament.
During Game 2 of their round 1 playoff series, Panthers' captain Barkov left the game following a violent hit from Brandon Hagel.
If Barkov would've had possession of the puck, it would have respectfully been a very clean hit, but unfortunately it was a blatant blindside that injured the Panthers' star on Thursday.
This prompted the NHL Department of Player Safety to make a major announcement that read the following:
Brandon Hagel will have a hearing with the NHL Department of Player Safety on Friday. The Tampa Bay Lightning forward is facing discipline for interference against Florida Panthers center Aleksander Barkov on Thursday. The incident occurred at 9:51 of the third period in the Lightning's 2-0 loss in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference First Round at Amalie Arena in Tampa. Barkov left the game following the hit, for which Hagel was assessed a major penalty. The following grounds are being considered for supplemental discipline: interference. However, the Department of Player Safety retains the right to make adjustments to the infraction upon review.-The NHL wrote in a statement.
Panthers head coach Paul Maurice has not determined his captain's status for Game 3 yet.
