Longtime member of the Chicago Blackhawks announces he's leaving the organization for good

Do you often find yourselves enjoying the content that you see on the Chicago Blackhawks website? You should thank Carter Baum for that. Baum led the Blackhawks Insider podcast you can find on their NHL website if you just type in his name, if you want to see his latest contributions.

Baum has been a member of the Blackhawks organization for six years, after joining the team in 2019.

Today, he announced on "X" that his career has been centered around the sport of hockey and has been grateful to be able to work for a legendary original-six franchise like the Blackhawks.

Baum was originally a journalism major from the University of Oklahoma, a Sooner. Not typically a university known for his it's love of hockey, just football.

But he made a viable career out of his education, and you can see the great work he's done with the team through its digital content.

Before he arrived in Chicago, he was a member of FC Dallas of the MLS for five years, and he led the team's digital infrastructure and editorial content.

Not too dissimilar from here in Chicago, except here he gets to cover a franchise that spans nearly a century of history, and a plethora of star talent you'll never find in Dallas.

He got to see Jonathan Toews, Patrick Kane, Duncan Keith, and Brent Seabrook before they all retired.

Now he'll join them as an ex-member of the organization.
