The Chicago Blackhawks, who have already made a number of changes this summer, could be close to trading defenseman Connor Murphy, per analyst Jeremy Tingly.

The Chicago Blackhawks have already made several moves this summer, including acquiring Andre Burakovsky from the Seattle Kraken and re-signing RFA goaltender Arvid Soderblom to a new deal.
But one player who is entering the last year of his contract is defenseman Connor Murphy, and his days in Chicago could be numbered.
Per analyst Jeremy Tingly of NHL Trade Rumors, the Blackhawks could be on the verge of dealing Murphy and lists several teams, including the Toronto Maple Leafs, Edmonton Oilers, Ottawa Senators and Montreal Canadiens as possibilities.
Murphy is a right-handed defenceman who has been on trade lists for quite some time now. Murphy's entering the final season of his deal at $4.4 million AAV. The 32-year-old has a 10-team no-trade clause, so he'll have some say in the matter.

He's been linked to the Maple Leafs, Oilers, Senators, and Canadiens in the past, so we'll wait and see how things play out next season. Murphy scored 19 points in 68 games last season, and averaged 20:36 ice-time per game, including 2:17 shorthanded.

This last season, Murphy had 19 points (2G, 17A) in 68 games.

The Blackhawks re-signed RFA goalie Arvid Soderblom

The Blackhawks already have goaltender Spencer Knight, who they feel could potentially be their long-term goaltender, under contract.
They also took care of another important matter of business, re-signing backup Arvid Soderblom, who had been an RFA, to a new contract.
Chicago hopes that Knight and Soderblom can form one of the better duos in the NHL and bring the Blackhawks closer to a playoff spot this year.
