NHL analyst makes bold claim involving Chicago Blackhawks forward Connor Bedard that'll excite fans
An analyst made a bold claim about the 2023 first overall pick, Connor Bedard, as the 20-year-old prepares to embark on his first NHL season.
Entering the NHL at 18 years old is a big accomplishment.
Scoring over 60 points in your first season and over 120 after two seasons are also impressive feats. All of these were completed by Bedard in his first two seasons, at 18 and 19 years old.
What was disappointing for fans was seeing the team end the season at the bottom of the standings once again.
But it was even more disappointing for Bedard, who appeared to be struggling at times due to his team's tough position.
Despite scoring 67 points, he wasn't satisfied.
And that's exactly what he did.
Connor Bedard Poised To Have Breakout Season Soon
There's a general belief among hockey experts that Bedard is poised to have the best season of his career due to his experience and the adjustments he applied to his offseason training.
Over the past weeks, multiple videos showing Bedard training on the ice alongside other young NHL stars like
Macklin Celebrini and
Kent Johnson were posted, showcasing Bedard's dedication and the intensity of his training.
On that note, here's what Elite Prospects' Content Director Cam Robinson stated on Bedard's haters a few days ago on X:
With Bedard leading the charge,
Spencer Knight between the pipes, and a brand new coaching staff, the Hawks could cause a surprise this season.
