Kyle Davidson openly admits contract negotiations with Connor Bedard won't be easy and the reason is shocking

The Chicago Blackhawks general manager, Kyle Davidson, has just openly admitted that contract negotiations with the organization's top-forward, Connor Bedard, won't be easy, and the reasoning is shocking.
While the Blackhawks are currently in the midst of a complete re-build, the organization does in fact have some key-players they would hate to depart with.
Such as their 2023 1st round (1st overall) pick, Connor Bedard, however, new insight has unveiled that it may not be as easy as they anticipated to keep him around.
Many speculations and rumours have linked Bedard to departing from Chicago, due to his frustration's towards the organization's underwhelming seasons since his acquisition.
However, a recent announcement from general manager Kyle Davidson, which was revealed on nhl.com, that Bedard's departure may not be due to his disappointment thus far into his career as a Blackhawk, but the fact the NHL's salary cap is increasing, as this can cause him to hesitate when negotiating further contracts.

«We'll see, but if we're able to get something done (soon), that would be fantastic,» Davidson said. «But if we don't, I think it's probably more so out of the uncertainty around how the League and the system is going to be growing or impacted moving forward than anything player/team related.»
«I think the new salary cap marketplace, it's going to stall some (contract talks),» Davidson said. «It's going to make some of these a little more drawn out that maybe they would have been in the past on a more flat cap. But yeah, we've started (talking) and we'll see if something gets done.»

However, at this point in time, it is uncertain whether or not Blackhawks fans will see their former 1st-rounder depart from Chicago.
